We post music of many varieties and many ratings,
but the recurring theme is the difference in our music.
Whether released this week, or from the Stone Age,
our music stands out in being unique, unknown, and/or under-appreciated.
We hope you enjoy it!

Kogicon - I've grown up around Jazz, World Music, Dance, and Dubstep, and really, the genre doesn't matter. For me, it's all about the music. However, nowadays I tend towards electronic music, reveling the sheer variety of sounds possible, so that makes up the majority of my posts. I much prefer the unexpected to the same old, and therefore also tend to post new releases. There's always going to be a new spice, a new sound to throw into the mix, and I intend to find that audio delight.
I hope you'll find it too.

Electronic, Dubstep, Trance, Hiphop, Rap
ArchonofFail - \m/ I like intense metal and rock music, mostly because I find it energizing and I really enjoy the powerful stories told through metal music. I also enjoy prog rock and just rock in general. Some of my favorite artists are Nightwish, Avantasia, Metallica, Rush, Iron Maiden, and Rhapsody.
Songs I haven't posted as an example of what I rate:
9: For Whom the Bell Tolls (Metallica)
8: The Unforgiven III (Metallica) or Wishmaster (Nightwish)
7: The Trooper (Iron Maiden) or Highway Star (Deep Purple)
6: Elvenpath (Nightwish) or Time Stand Still (Rush)
5: Icewind (Axxis) or Take A Friend (Rush)
Genres:
Heavy Metal, Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, Rock, Progressive Rock
Cheeseycat7 - Music is everything to me. I will listen to a lot of different kinds, but it is mostly rock. My favorite genres are alternative rock and hard rock, however what I enjoy ranges from pop and pop-rock to symphonic and death metal. I listen to the music that I can relate to or something that just sparks a feeling in me. My preferences tend to lean towards darker music; I just look for music that means something to me.
Genres:
Alternative, Alternative Rock, Rock, Pop Rock, Rap Rock, Hard Rock
QuasarDragon - I love music. I love understanding the structure and theory behind the music, but sometimes I just like to sit and enjoy the sound washing over me, oblivious to what's going on. Personally, I enjoy finding roots in classic rock and jazz, but I try to keep my choices diverse enough to be interesting. Alternative and progressive rock are two of my favorite sub-genres, though I also enjoy music from trance to punk. The way I see it, if music has a meaning, I wish to understand it, and if it's something complex enough to be worth understanding, it's beautiful.
Genres:
Progressive Rock, Alternative, Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Jazz
ValekHalfHeart - For the longest time, I spent my days in silence, but today I'm listening to something almost every waking minute. It's all about the atmosphere. There are very few styles that I find obnoxious; the only thing I can't stand in music, in any genre, is (for lack of a better term) genericness. If it's not unique and interesting, why listen to it? So, whether it's John Linnell playfully musing about how the statue got him high, David Gilmour wishing someone were here, Jean-Luc de Meyer threateningly intoning instructions on how be a (metaphorical) headhunter, or Nivek Ogre convulsively screaming about exploding organs, I promise that I'll keep things interesting.
